After the armistice, germans seized 106 L6/40 and in october 1943 ordered the completion of 15 new tanks, delivered in 1944.

1943, September, Albania.

1944, 28th February, north or Ribnica, in the Provinz Laibach. An L 6/40 used by the Germans, captured by the partisans in Zdenska vas. The tank is painted in dark yellow (German or Italian) and as the only visible symbol carries Balkenkreuze on its turret. An unusual feature is the fenders, which have been extended towards the rear.

1945, January, Slovenia. L 6/40 light tank of an unidentified Ordnungspolizei unit advances on a snow-covered road. Note the Balkenkreuz painted on the turret backside only and the track sections attached to the side.
